Hi folks!

I'm happy to announce the release of my latest map for TQ2. It's called Rockheim: Skytower. It's a GTD, TP and DM Map. There's this big skyscraper - the police tries to enter and the terrorists try to get the drugs back from the police on the street. Have fun!

Hola, mi stinky amigos...

Remember that post down there? One down, check it out. So, I was a little off. I'm man enough to admit it.

We're full out on SRT-Alpha, our Kingpin mod, and we're down to one coder, so it doesn't look like a whole lot of work will be done on TQ2 in the near future. Maybe later, but for now, we've come up with a comprimise.

We're releasing the source to TQ2. I just uploaded it here. There are a few stipulations to using the code:

  • The words "Based on Terror Quake 2 - Original Concept by SLAT Software" must appear... well, just about everywhere. In the readme, in the docs, etc etc.
  • You must provide a link to www.teamhavoc.net in all of your docs.
  • I'm not sure about the models... I think you can use most of them, but let me talk to CB and find out.

That's it. If someone out there wants to work on the code, and needs hosting, contact me. If you have a site up that we can look at, and you have a team pulled together, we can host you right here, as in tq2.teamhavoc.net/yourmod.

Okay, that's all for now. I've been getting a lot of email from people who play at LANs, they really like the mod. If I can get my SRT maps finished, I'll try to get another map or two out for you.

So I promised we'd announce our big news at the end of this week, and it's the end of this week, so here it is. Telefragged has been gracious (and trusting) enough to grant us our own domain name... www.teamhavoc.net. All of our mods and ancillary sites will be hosted on that network, so head on over there to get the latest scoop on what we're up to. Sgt. R0ck! will post a redirect to the new Terror Quake 2 site tonite (tq2.teamhavoc.net).

Also, we've got a new mod in the works, you'll see the dirt on it on teamhavoc.net. That doesn't mean we're finished with Terror Quake.... we're still adding team members so that all of our mods will get the team's full attention.

Okay, that's it. The new release will be out any day now.

Okay, we're not quite finished the testing process yet, but here are some hot and greasy items to tide you over until the release...

First, we're releasing one of gimp's maps early. It's called Volcanic Caverns, and it's a VERY sweet DM map. Second, I had nothing to do last weekend, so I did an .AVI promo for the mod (1.5 mb)... the astute among you will notice something in the promo, which consists of our next major announcement, to be made at the end of this week...

Just saw gimp's new map, it's sweet! Just letting you know that Ultik has sent us the final DLL to review... once that's done, and given the thumbs up by at least a slight majority of the team, we'll release it, along with the maps (and the new weapons, etc.).

It's been a while since I last updated, so here goes...

Alot of great stuff has been happening lately. We have a new skinner on the team (Nimitz - who has already done some kickass work!) and we have a new HTML dude (oSIRis) for the "secret project".
Alas, we also had some slight modeling problems with the M16 which had slown down the progress too much... And then, El HaMmLo disappeared. It turned out he had a spontainious holiday job, and wasn't able to tell us in time. He's back on track though and has created some fine models.

We apologize for the delay. We also realize that we should have released MUCH earlier. I hope you hardcore fans will hang tight, because the next version is SO much better than the last one...
Once CrazyButcher is back from his vacation, he'll fix the M16. Then Ultik and Dementor can finalize the code for the next release. I'm not going to give an estimate on when it will be, but I can assure you that we will do everything in our power to get it released asap.

Also, when you find out what our "secret project" is, you will forgive us for the delay...

I also came into contact with Johan, who has been making a front-end launcher for us. It's looking REALLY promising. He just needs to tweak/add some stuff and then all your problems with starting servers will be OVER! It has a nice intuitive interface.
